چکیده

In heterogeneous microfluidic immunosensors, the diffusion boundary layer produced on sensing area represents a critical factor that limits biosensor performance. A three-dimensional simulation using finite element method binding reaction kinetics of C-reactive protein (CRP) has been performed. We present new based novel reaction-surface design without and with electrothermal force. Two surface configurations were studied. The kinetic rate was calculated coupled Navier−Stokes, mass diffusion, energy, Laplace equations. numerical results reveal characteristics are more enhanced by circular ring initial slope related to association phase is multiplied 2 when voltage increased from 10 15 V. prove be valuable in designing biosensors.

AC electrothermal enhancement of heterogeneous assays in microfluidics.

AC-driven electrothermal flow is used to enhance the temporal performance of heterogeneous immuno-sensors in microfluidic systems by nearly an order of magnitude. AC electrokinetic forces are used to generate electrothermal flow, which in turn produces a circular stirring fluid motion that enhances the transport of diffusion-limited proteins. This provides more binding opportunities between sus...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Opto-Microfluidic Immunosensors: From Colorimetric to Plasmonic

Optical detection has long been the most popular technique in immunosensing. Recent developments in the synthesis of luminescent probes and the fabrication of novel nanostructures enable more sensitive and efficient optical detection, which can be miniaturized and integrated with microfluidics to realize compact lab-on-a-chip immunosensors. These immunosensors are portable, economical and autom...

Electrothermal stirring for heterogeneous immunoassays.

A technique is proposed to enhance microfluidic immuno-sensors, for example, immunoassays, in which a ligand immobilized on a microchannel wall specifically binds analyte flowing through the channel. These sensors can be limited in both response time and sensitivity by the diffusion of analyte to the sensing surface. In certain applications, the sensitivity and response of these heterogeneous i...
